  • "Afternoon tea on the Thames with City cruises"

"I took some Swiss guests who were absolutely delighted. Friendly and cheerful staff, great commentary both informative and entertaining and a delicious, fresh traditional afternoon tea. The boat was spacious and clean with good views from all the tables. Shall definitely return, excellent value for the money."

  • "Highly recommended "

"lovely relaxing way of seeing London from a different perspective. With some great photo opportunities. The afternoon tea was excellent as was the service onboard, and the commentary provided was very entertaining. Alcohol is also available to purchase as extra should you wish to have a glass or bottle of something special. No matter what the weather this trip is well worth it. "

  • "Excellent afternoon on the thames"

"Myself and 9 other ladies celebrated my 50th birthday with afternoon tea on the Thames city cruise. Everything was very tasty with plenty of tea/coffee. Boat was clean and comfortable and the staff pleasant and efficient. We even had pimms too. Weather made it as well as the informative commentator. Got a fab price with discount London. Everyone was impressed and will definitely repeat the experience."

  • "Lovely Treat"

"We had a great time on this trip along the Thames, and enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea with fresh scones and clotted cream, a good selection of sandwiches and a lovely selection of small cakes. There was ample to eat and endless top ups of teaor coffee - there was also the option to purchase bubbly and cocktails if you want to slash out! Great commentary along the way - we learned quite a lot about the way the river used to be utilised and the buildings along the banks. Great value for money and I would recommend it as a superb way to spend an afternoon whilst in London"

  • "What a way to celebrate"

"This was a special day for me, my 8oth birthday. I couldn't have chosen a better way to keep it. Crew and staff team were very helpful and well turned-out; they connived with the family at providing extras. The boat was great, as were the food and drink. An enlightening commentary and very comfortable cruise. Thank you."

  • "Hen do part 2"

"Staff were very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Really impressed with the food, yummy. They even catered for one of our party that has a gluten free diet. They brought her out her own plate of sandwiches and four different pieces of cake. Would highly recommend this trip."

  • "A lovely afternoon treat"

"If you love a good afternoon tea, full of sandwiches, cakes and scones then this is for you, with the addition of travelling in a boat along the Thames. The staff were friendly and helpful and the tour guide was very good and funny. The option of having a window seat would have been more ideal. The only thing that let it down was the organisation at the top of Tower Millenium Pier. We arrived early and kept getting told to return at 3pm. By the time we returned, a queue had already formed and we were near the back. Other than this, it was an enjoyable experience. "

  • "What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?"

"In the company of two friends, my wife and I took an Afternoon Tea Cruise down the Thames with City Cruises. Boarding was handled very efficiently and the staff were friendly and helpful. We couldn't fault the tea, a selection of sandwiches, mini-cakes and scones with jam and cream. We could, perhaps, have done with a little more jam and cream between the four of us, but it didn't spoil the meal. There was a plentiful supply of tea and coffee and a lively commentary about the sights along the river was provided. Many thanks to all concerned. "

  • "Sunny afternoon on the Thames"

"Lovely afternoon eating fresh sandwiches, scones and mini cakes with as much tea or coffee as you could drink but we decided to purchase a bottle of bubbly at a very reasonable price instead. Service was excellent and staff friendly. We spent our final half hour on the top deck in the sunshine listening to the Captains amusing banter."

  • "Well done City Cruises !!"

"First class service and freshly made tempting food. The never ending tea and coffee pots were much appreciated. We have been to London many times but the commentator managed to pick out many facts about the places which we passed which we did not know about before BUT unfortunately his voice tended to tail off at the end of each sentence which made it hard to catch all his words above the clatter of pottery and the inevitable buzz of conversations. A very minor, but irritating problem on what was otherwise an A1 afternoon. Thank you City cruises and your helpful and courteous staff."

"I booked this for my wifes birthday on Mothers Day! What a great trip. Service very good and very friendly staff. Regular top ups of tea. Plenty of food sandwiches, scones and choccy nibbles all of very good standard i would highly recommend this to anyone. Very good value for what is charged. Also the commentary was very humorous. Nice to hear a live commentary than pre recorded. This i think was maybe a one off due to Mothers Day! "

  • "Brilliant Experience"

"The team of staff and managers who make this happen are amazing. The quality of the food and drink and the constant smiles on the faces of staff made the cruise so good! We would definitely go again... especially because of the extra sandwiches that I was given as I asked for more than I had payed for... Excellent!"
