a birds eye view We had a great time the discount London staff were really helpful as I booked late and it was a bank holiday. The shard staff each and everyone were so helpful. You were talked through each stage of the visit. The boys loved the speed of the lift. The viewing platform was incredulousthe telescopes were so informative showing how the view is in the dark how the future skyline is purposed and has London would have looked in pastimes. Being able to pinpoint the landmarks then learn about them was amazing .
View from The Shard Really enjoyed it, we went on bank holiday and it was booked at 11am. It wasn't busy which was great and you had a chance to have a good look at the fantastic views and take your time. The fact that it was "kids go free" week was just an added bonus as we could do other things while we were in London - really recommend it!
Great views Took my grandson up twice once in daytime and once for the sunset. Great organisation. Great views and would recommend to all.
GREAT VIEW We even had good weather. All well organised. The children loved it!
Shard Took my daughters for the first time, one of only two attractions they have never seen, and they really enjoyed it and were amazed at being in the tallest building in London. Brilliant!!
Shard day out Weather was kind and the Shard is magnificent, two viewing platforms and basic facilities for drinks and light snacks.
I would recommend to anyone without a fear of heights.
Ordering was easy however, what I didn't realise was although I'd printed the voucher off (names etc on) you have to the queue to get tickets? A long wait ensued and although there with ten minutes to spare from the agreed booking time by the time we got the tickets we were pushed back by 30 mins.
This was not a problem for us but it did seem a little pointless wasting time printing the voucher as we could have turned up and waited in the same queue, the only part that it saved was handing over my credit card.
In all though a very pleasant experience had, recommended.
Interesting Kids loved it and really enjoyed the view. They learnt a lot about London in a fun way, a good experience.
The View from The Shard Fabulous views all round. The best time to go is "DUSK", one gets the best of both daylight and nightlight viewing during a time phase of thirty minutes. It was wonderful and beautiful to see the city come alive with all the buildings lights.
Just as it says on the tin. Brilliant. We originally tried to book for the joint visit to The Shard and one of the selected restaurants, however not being able to find anything that we wanted, we decided to go just for The View from The Shard. As this was a present for a friend and his wife who is Chinese and has little knowledge of London it turned out to be quite good in that we found a lovely local and typical pub close to The Shard to have lunch. All in all an excellent day, The Shard was excellent and very well organised, plenty of time to view.
Great Views! Luckily, it was the one sunny day in a week of clouds and rain, so the views were excellent! Lifts go from Ground to Floor 68 in about 2 minutes! Very fast, very quiet, you don't feel a thing (1 change of lifts around half-way). Plenty of staff on hand to control queuing and ensure no overcrowding in the lifts (good thing too, as I can get claustrophobic). 360d egree views from the end of the lift ride.
There's a flight of stairs to go a few levels higher than the lift, up to a roofless level - again great 360 views (but can be pretty cold and windy!)
I didn't bother with the Champagne or other add-ons, was already pricey enough without these extras! Went with family over from Italy - they enjoyed it.
Entrance to The View from The Shard2 course meal & coffee at Azzurro London Bridge
As above The Shard was very good, excellent views, breathtaking, no waiting around. The Azzurro restaurant was good with a decent set menu choice.
The Shard Truly amazing, I took my girlfriend who had never been and she loved it! She wants to go back more than once it is that good the view. Superb!
The View from The Shard & Azzurro London Bridge Had a lovely time at the view from the shard, which we booked for around 5pm it was a lovely sunny day & visibility was great we thoroughly enjoyed it, we then went straight to the Azzurro London Bridge where we didn't have to wait as it was not busy and had a lovely meal with a bottle of wine which finished off our evening.
Great day The View from The Shard was brilliant even though expensive. The Meal at the Azzurro made the deal excellent value for money. The service was second to none.
Great service I booked a last minute trip late one evening to visit next day. The order confirmation said I needed to take a printed voucher so I was worried on the Saturday morning when I still hadn't received it. Gave them a call - Customer Services were fantastic, really helpful and expedited my voucher. We had a great day, boys really enjoyed the Shard and Azzuro. Thanks Discount London!
Well worth the view I had visited the Shard before, so when my family suggested another visit I was a little reluctant. However the whole package was wonderful and the meal excellent. I want to do it all over again.
Shard and Azzuro Excellent day out as birthday celebration.Views from Shard are superb and all staff are friendly.Meal at Azzuro following visit to Shard was good value and served by friendly and attentive staff. All told an excellent day out and we can recommend this experience.
Great Day Bought for my father as a Birthday gift. We went up early evening to experience the view before and after sundown. Unfortunately, there was cloud cover during the remaining daylight but as night fell it began to clear and we had a great view of London all lit up before us below. The two lifts which get you up to the 72nd floor are quick and you are on the viewing platform within seconds. It was quite surreal to be 72 floors up out on the partially open viewing platform with the rain pelting down and people with coats and umbrellas up!
The restaurant was within a few minutes walk and although the food choice was limited on the set menu, it was an enjoyable meal in a relaxed atmosphere and served by friendly staff. Great experience.
Super day Restaurant was very small and would have missed it if I blinked but all very clean, bright and modern, staff friendly and attentive, superb food and plenty of it as other reviews stated. The Shard experience was fantastic, very futuristic experience with 2 different lifts taking you at super fast speed up to 72 floors to the top makes your ears pop slightly, and you actually go to the TOP of the Shard jagged top that is open to the sky ! you can reserve a table for tea /snack to make it even more special, the view is awesome you really do see all over London to the fields outside of London.
"Loving London" Simple online booking, easy ticketing. Courteous staff. Lucky enough to have a clear, sunny day. Amazing views, with clear info provided on what to look out for at each angle. Definitely worth the visit. Pricey photos but other reasonable souvenirs in the shop. Azzurro provided very limited menu, but good portions and staff attentive and accommodating. Light and airy inside on a very hot day in noisy London.

View from the shard I thought the view from the shard was spectacular well worth a visit and the all day river cruise was extremely good value
Great adventure ! Good price, Beautiful views. we chose The Shard first and after the boat cruise it was dark outside. we had an incredible view of London
I highly recommended!
The View from The Shard & City Cruises Fantastic experience for my older daughter's birthday. We all enjoyed our day out unfortunately spoilt only by the cloudy weather at the time of our visit to The Shard. Not only did we save money by booking ahead of our visit but we also had very little waiting as tickets were quickly swapped for our emailed booking details both at The Shard and City Cruises ticket office.
The Shard & City Cruises Hop-on, Hop-off We had a fantastic day the view from the Shard was amazing, we then went to see the poppies at the Tower of London which was spectacular!! Followed by the river cruise. It was the best day out we have had for years.
