Great experience

Great value for money, not rushed in the Shard followed by well needed refreshment in the nearby Browns. Lovely day.

Great 30th Wedding Anniversary Treat!

Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Very easy to follow instructions to the Shard. Not very clear on how to get to the restaurant, Azzurro. Map was misleading. However, it did not spoil the day. Thank you.

Great Value, well worth the money

The View from the Shard was fantastic and the event is well organised. Afternoon Tea at Browns was good!

Fantastic night with amazing entertainment. Food was also superb with as much as we could drink all in with the price. Will definitely do this again!

Fab day out

I will start with the afternoon tea we had at Browns which we had before going to the shard. The place was nice and roomy and had a good atmosphere about it. The tea came first which consisted of 2 massive pots of tea with tea leaf tea. The afternoon tea came shortly afterwards and looked pretty and sweet with its tiny rolls and scones and cakes. We managed to finish all bar one cake. It's great if you have a sweet tooth. The shard experience next was an experience. Enjoyed the fast lift going up to the different floors. The view was amazing. London looked like a little lego set from up high but you could still work out what the buildings were. The top floor was open and you could hear the noise of London carrying on beneath you with planes taking off a few miles away. I would go back but only slight negative was the Windows which were so thick the light reflected quite a lot from them especially in the sun. View from the toilets was probably the best view.

Nice view at the Shard and nice meal

Shard was brilliant & tea at Browns was lovely.

wonderful, just what the doctor ordered

Lets start at the beginning- called the Shard the day before to check everything was ok - very warm lady assured me all was fine and there was a good chance I could get in early (wonderful Borough market just around the corner so, no. I didn't get there early). Had to wait a little while in the queue to exchange my tickets even though there were only two people ahead of me - odd. From that moment on every thing was perfect. Staff helpful and full of smiles. It's become a running joke that people will travel back up the lift again when they realise they haven't seen the toilets with the best view in town 'the whole experience' as one assistant put it. The funny thing is, they don't make you feel an idiot for going back up 33 floors to do it. A gentle stroll along the river bank, past the water features in the street that a soothing on a hot day, and you find yourself at Browns. Sit outside with great view of the city. You are presented with a menu even though you've already got a set afternoon tea, the prices for anything you want to add are reasonable (I'll go back for dinner). Lots of food! It comes out looking all cute and small but we couldn't finish it. Believe me, I'm not a stick insect but it's sweet and filling. Bless the waitress, she came armed with a roll of Clingfilm so I could take a couple of cakes home - some people wouldn't do this but I have no shame. It also shows how well looked after you are and they aren't snobby with it. Highly recommended - buy your tickets
