  • "bus tour"

"We have just returned from our day out in London we booked on line which was very simple, the staff at the bus company ticket office were very helpful. We decided to stay on the bus and do the full tour which took approx 3hrs we had commentary via ear phones supplied on the bus which was very informative after which we took the free river cruise from Westminster bridge to tower bridge where we were told we could stay on boat and continue to Greenwich which we did. All in all most of our day was taken up with site seeing which was extremely enjoyable and great value for money"

  • "London Day Out"

"My Oz cousin and I had a lovely day out, hopping on and off the buses, plus a great trip down the Thames. I loved all of it but I thought the bus recorded commentary was a little sparse, a lot of music and not enough info"

  • "The Original London Open Top Bus Tour is absolutely the best way to tour London!"

"Riding the hop-on, hop-off bus is the greatest way to see London because it gives you the freedom to pick and choose where you would like to spend more time and also gives you a general overview of all of London. You can also choose which area of town you would like to see by choosing the different colored lines. We have taken the red and blue lines to enjoy the museum district, parliament, Kensington, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square, etc. you also have access to several walking tours and a river cruise included with your bus tour package. This is a terrific value!"

  • "Excellent value"

"We really did get around the city on this open top bus, this time with real English speaking guides and no diddly headphones - we did two walking tours - the changing of the guards was excellent as we saw the horse guards and the foot soldiers too, the pace of walking was brisk but easy to follow, recommend this to anyone who has never tried the walks - the Jack the Ripper walk was good too and we visited parts of London we otherwise would not have - the Thames cruise was packed out but still enjoyable and the bus continued into the night, easy to hop on and hop off where and when you want - excellent value for money :-)"

  • "original open top bus tour"

"This is an absolute must for all tourists to London, the value is amazing with not just the tour but the fact you could use it to get round to other attractions your visiting by using the hop on hop off feature there are many different routes and the free extras make it more than worth it with free Thames cruise and free walking tours you really can't afford to miss this! and the tour guides commentary make it an absolute must what is the point of going to London if you're not going to see the history side and the commentary is informative and interesting i wouldn't go without starting with the tour every time"

  • "Best day out"

"My two children and I had a fantastic day in London hopping on and off the Original London Open Tour Bus, we saw all the main attractions without all the hassle of the underground. The children (and myself) learnt a lot about London from the commentary. We even had time to take the river cruise. The staff were very pleasant and helpful..I would definitely use this company again and would not hesitate in recommending it ...Value for money"

  • "What a fab day"

"We travel to London every year but have never done a tour before, we only wish we had. We viewed all the London landmarks and had a trip on the boat to Tower Bridge without feeling exhausted from all the walking we usually do.The audio tape was very good and very informative although we didnt find the one done by a member of staff so good as we found her very difficult to understand, never the less we had a great day out and would recommend this trip."

  • "Bus Tour (Yellow and Red)"

"forgot my tickets but got them printed off in the shop. Started the tour on the Yellow Route with a tour guide proving commentary. Got off at Buckingham palace and back on again an hour later to continue to the Tower where our hotel was. Picked up the tour again from Buckingham palace this time using the Red route. Preferred the headphone commentary. Used the red tour to Hamleys where we took a break(!!??) for 2 hours whilst touring Hamleys!!!. Used the Red tour back to our hotel then boat tour from Tower pier to Embankment. Great experience. Highly recommended and well worth the money."

  • "London 2014"

"Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, started of with audio commentary which was very informative then a young lady joined the tour and did the commentary which was much better, she kept the kids interested with her humour, we were dissapointed she wasn't on the bus from the start, loved her story about seeing Prince Harry while doing her commentary one day and telling us they were getting married though he didn't know it yet! Totally hassle free plenty seats for us all upstairs, unfortunately we didn't have time to do the free river cruise which was included in the price which sounded fab, would definately use the Original Bus Tours again. Wpould have rated 5 stars if the live commentary was on from the start."

  • "Excellent way to see London"

"To be honest, I really didn't think a bus tour was going to be my thing, but a friend suggested it and I was happy to go along. How wrong I was! We booked tickets on line and pitched up at the ticket office where we were seen quite quickly. We were fortunate enough to get on a yellow route bus with a really brilliant guy on the microphone (very regretfully I can't remember his name!!). He gave us a full commentary on all the landmarks that we passed and the only thing he got wrong was stating that the Thames was Britain's longest river but it's not, that honour goes to the River Severn!! The ride is a great way to orientate yourself with the main London landmarks and the hop-on, hop-off idea is brilliant. Because the ticket is valid for 24hrs, we were able to use it the following morning and do a short blue tour to The Natural History Museum. I can't rate this experience highly enough, but do try and get a bus with a guide although the other buses do have audio loops in several languages, our guide really made is special for us. "

  • "From New Zealand"

"Found this Tour to be great to get around, unfortunately we picked a weekend that had most of centre London's roads closed, and the commentary recordings was't working on the bus either, would have been nice if we had been offered some extra hours on our ticket ( we had a 24 hour ticket )for the inconvenience as we had lost 3 hours just trying to get to Trafalgar square to transfer our online receipts for tickets as the ticket people on the corners wouldn't accept them, being told to go catch buses at certain areas from the office only to find out those areas were closed and the buses weren't arriving there not very organised, but once we got finally going it was a great tour, the bus drivers were very knowledgeable about the sight seeing and also the ticket people on the roads letting you know which buses to catch for which attractions :)Loved the cruise down the river Thames, just a heads up that there is a market on a Saturday so you can get off on that and get on again."

  • "Bus Tour and River Cruise"

"All in all a good value for money tour. The bus did seem to be a bit 'whistle stop' at times and many of the headphone sets didn't work which meant we missed a lot of the commentary. The river cruise was fantastic, with a really informative commentary by one of the on-board staff. "

  • "Open Top Bus Tour"

"Initially we were confused - we thought there was only one route and not four! We started with the yellow route a enjoyed a very pleasant and witty commentary from our "live" guide. Subsequently we did bits of the red and blue routes. Didn't do all in the time available but our grandchildren (and ourselves) found the trips enjoyable and informative. Many thanks."

  • "Brilliant Day"

"For my daughter's 18th Birthday treat was a day out in London with an afternoon showing for Les Mis. I had booked the london Bus tour and I didn't know if my daughter would enjoy it. She loved it!! Trying to take "selfie's" with all the attractions! We had a fabulous tour guide called Eddie and he was brilliant. Considering the weather was not the best, we had a brilliant day!!"

  • "A good way to see London!"

"We split this 24 hour hop-on/off into a late afternoon and the next morning. Both guides were informative and offered solid historical and cultural information on our tours. This is a hassle-free way to get around London. I highly recommend it as the buses show up every 20 minutes or so and you're then whisked off with a fabulous guide and expert driver to see beautiful London. "

  • "Bus was ok but the boat tour after was spectacular!"

"Bus ride was short on seats the first leg of tour and not a fan of all the diesel powered vehicles and buses so the fumes had me happy to get off the bus tour. The driver was spectacular though and navigated narrow turns with amazingly smooth precision. Should have brought my headphones as with a full pair of good quality headphones the tour would have been joyous (my DJ style headphones would have blocked out annoying diesel engine sounds and enhanced the tour guided voice). Bring your headphones next time everyone! Boat ride in the fresh air and the tour guide was both informative and really hilarious (you got stand up comedy free with your tour!) hahaha. Was a real joy! Learned so much I didn't know about London. "

  • "Great Family Day Out"

"We booked a trip on the Original London Open Top Bus Tour with our daughter and Grandson on Easter Saturday. The day was brilliant from start to finish . The tour guide was extremely good and certainly knew her history of the city like the back of her hand. The commentary was well presented and she kept it interesting throughout. We would thoroughly recommend this trip to any family planning a similar day out"
