  • "Enjoyable and informative"

"I spent a very enjoyable day touring on your open-top buses and on a cruise boat up the Thames. Well, most of the day: The bus arrived at the initial pick-up point near Trafalgar Square due, apparently, to the enormous amount of road works all around central London. Fortunately the bus did start to pick up some time as we headed away from the West End toward the City. The recorded commentary told me a lot about the area I didn't know and I enjoyed hopping on and off the bus to investigate some places further. Just one possible error in the commentary - although I may have misheard - I think it said that parts of 'Titanic' were filmed in the tearoom of The Waldorf Hotel. If it was referring to the 1997 'Titanic' with Leo DiCaprio, that would be incorrect. However, a 1978 TV movie called 'SOS Titanic' with David Janssen did indeed use The Waldorf for locations. I was unable to complete the entire route but I hope to do so one day. I have recommended it to friends and family, especially my son who hopes to take his partner and their four-year-old son on a tour of London soon."

"Great way to learn about London. First time we've used buses and not tube to get around London. There's so much to see. Got our tickets, then planned our 2 days. Was particularly good value as it was 48 hrs for the price of 24. Suited both our age groups."

"We have just returned from our day out in London we booked on line which was very simple, the staff at the bus company ticket office were very helpful. We decided to stay on the bus and do the full tour which took approx 3hrs we had commentary via ear phones supplied on the bus which was very informative after which we took the free river cruise from Westminster bridge to tower bridge where we were told we could stay on boat and continue to Greenwich which we did. All in all most of our day was taken up with site seeing which was extremely enjoyable and great value for money"

"My Oz cousin and I had a lovely day out, hopping on and off the buses, plus a great trip down the Thames. I loved all of it but I thought the bus recorded commentary was a little sparse, a lot of music and not enough info"

"Riding the hop-on, hop-off bus is the greatest way to see London because it gives you the freedom to pick and choose where you would like to spend more time and also gives you a general overview of all of London. You can also choose which area of town you would like to see by choosing the different colored lines. We have taken the red and blue lines to enjoy the museum district, parliament, Kensington, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square, etc. you also have access to several walking tours and a river cruise included with your bus tour package. This is a terrific value!"

"We really did get around the city on this open top bus, this time with real English speaking guides and no diddly headphones - we did two walking tours - the changing of the guards was excellent as we saw the horse guards and the foot soldiers too, the pace of walking was brisk but easy to follow, recommend this to anyone who has never tried the walks - the Jack the Ripper walk was good too and we visited parts of London we otherwise would not have - the Thames cruise was packed out but still enjoyable and the bus continued into the night, easy to hop on and hop off where and when you want - excellent value for money :-)"

"This is an absolute must for all tourists to London, the value is amazing with not just the tour but the fact you could use it to get round to other attractions your visiting by using the hop on hop off feature there are many different routes and the free extras make it more than worth it with free Thames cruise and free walking tours you really can't afford to miss this! and the tour guides commentary make it an absolute must what is the point of going to London if you're not going to see the history side and the commentary is informative and interesting i wouldn't go without starting with the tour every time"

"My two children and I had a fantastic day in London hopping on and off the Original London Open Tour Bus, we saw all the main attractions without all the hassle of the underground. The children (and myself) learnt a lot about London from the commentary. We even had time to take the river cruise. The staff were very pleasant and helpful..I would definitely use this company again and would not hesitate in recommending it ...Value for money"

"We travel to London every year but have never done a tour before, we only wish we had. We viewed all the London landmarks and had a trip on the boat to Tower Bridge without feeling exhausted from all the walking we usually do.The audio tape was very good and very informative although we didnt find the one done by a member of staff so good as we found her very difficult to understand, never the less we had a great day out and would recommend this trip."

"forgot my tickets but got them printed off in the shop. Started the tour on the Yellow Route with a tour guide proving commentary. Got off at Buckingham palace and back on again an hour later to continue to the Tower where our hotel was. Picked up the tour again from Buckingham palace this time using the Red route. Preferred the headphone commentary. Used the red tour to Hamleys where we took a break(!!??) for 2 hours whilst touring Hamleys!!!. Used the Red tour back to our hotel then boat tour from Tower pier to Embankment. Great experience. Highly recommended and well worth the money."
