Shard and Browns 52not60, 18/09/2017 (Senior Adults)Superb visit to the Shard. Brilliant views of London and splendid cocktails. Had a wait at Browns but that was for freshly baked scones. Perfect end to a grand day.
Great London Experience For The Family the simpsons, 26/07/2017 (Family with young children)Had a wonderful time up the View from The Shard- Spectacular Experience! Very impressed by the helpful ,attentive staff at the Shard. Tea at Browns was very pleasant - although we didn't leave enough time between the Shard and Tea at Browns, Butlers wharf. Advise having a two hour gap between each booking to really relax, enjoy and walk between the two experiences!
Wonderful JLM, 21/07/2017 (Mature Adults)An excellent day at both venues. Arrived early at both events but no trouble. Afternoon tea was great value, very attentive waiter. Free re-fills!
The Shard and Browns Swifty, 17/07/2017 (Senior Adults)Had a fantastic view from The Shard, tea at Browns was excellent!
Shard afternoon tea lilo, 10/07/2017 (Mature Adults)Had a good time visited shard Sat afternoon during Wimbledon week, lovely themed floor with tennis on big screen, view from top fantastic. Afternoon tea at Browns was great, sat outside by river. Our tea was very relaxing, we stayed for cocktails, reasonably priced at £7 each. Well worth doing. x
Great experience Steph, 23/04/2017 (Young Adults)Great value for money, not rushed in the Shard followed by well needed refreshment in the nearby Browns. Lovely day.
Great Value, well worth the money Steve, 11/04/2017 (Mature Adults)The View from the Shard was fantastic and the event is well organised. Afternoon Tea at Browns was good!
Fab day out Amber, 26/03/2017 (Young Adults)I will start with the afternoon tea we had at Browns which we had before going to the shard. The place was nice and roomy and had a good atmosphere about it. The tea came first which consisted of 2 massive pots of tea with tea leaf tea. The afternoon tea came shortly afterwards and looked pretty and sweet with its tiny rolls and scones and cakes. We managed to finish all bar one cake. It's great if you have a sweet tooth.
The shard experience next was an experience. Enjoyed the fast lift going up to the different floors. The view was amazing. London looked like a little lego set from up high but you could still work out what the buildings were. The top floor was open and you could hear the noise of London carrying on beneath you with planes taking off a few miles away. I would go back but only slight negative was the Windows which were so thick the light reflected quite a lot from them especially in the sun. View from the toilets was probably the best view.
Good Ssss, 12/08/2016 Shard was brilliant & tea at Browns was lovely.
wonderful, just what the doctor ordered loopy, 31/07/2016 Lets start at the beginning- called the Shard the day before to check everything was ok - very warm lady assured me all was fine and there was a good chance I could get in early (wonderful Borough market just around the corner so, no. I didn't get there early).
Had to wait a little while in the queue to exchange my tickets even though there were only two people ahead of me - odd. From that moment on every thing was perfect. Staff helpful and full of smiles. It's become a running joke that people will travel back up the lift again when they realise they haven't seen the toilets with the best view in town 'the whole experience' as one assistant put it. The funny thing is, they don't make you feel an idiot for going back up 33 floors to do it.
A gentle stroll along the river bank, past the water features in the street that a soothing on a hot day, and you find yourself at Browns. Sit outside with great view of the city. You are presented with a menu even though you've already got a set afternoon tea, the prices for anything you want to add are reasonable (I'll go back for dinner).
Lots of food! It comes out looking all cute and small but we couldn't finish it. Believe me, I'm not a stick insect but it's sweet and filling. Bless the waitress, she came armed with a roll of Clingfilm so I could take a couple of cakes home - some people wouldn't do this but I have no shame. It also shows how well looked after you are and they aren't snobby with it.
Highly recommended - buy your tickets
