It was very easy with the vouchers. We only had to queue for a few minutes at the London eye desk to get our vouchers exchanged for valid tickets and at certain point of the bus route we also exchanged them for valid bus tickets. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the River Cruise timetable as they close quite early.
