Great day for a climb

Great experience, the people there were very friendly right for the front desk to when they let you go. It was abit windy that day but the safety elements of the climb made you feel safe.

We had a great day, arriving at O2 from the cable car over the Thames. Our route was Waterloo, Jubilee line to Canning Town and then DLR one stop to Royal Victoria. Short walk to the cable car station. No queue for the cable car we went straight on. Fantastic views. It was all very easy. Check-in at Climb the O2 was straightforward and getting boots, harnesses and gloves too. Harnesses has pockets for phones. Stopped at the top for photos. Lots of time to appreciate the view. The first part going up and last part going down were the steepest. It was good to be wearing gloves.

Everyone was really professional and greeted you with a smile and genuine attempt to help and explain. Freya was a brilliant and enthusiastic host and did a wonderful job getting everyone up and over. Even though it was not the best of weather it was cracking views up there and certainly something different to try out in London. Suggest going when not a big event due on at the O2 just so it is not too crowded and you can then shop or eat at the various places near there.

Despite the rain and wind we had a great time. Very efficiently run with friendly staff. The last section of the descent was steep! We were advised to go down backwards and were glad of the brilliant shoes and gloves.

Warmly welcomed and briefed in a suitably warm waiting area. Our Team leader / Instructor was Brill. He had a great sense of humour and engaged with the group and our teenagers! Great experience with the climb itself looking down on those below and then time to take photos and walk around at the top.
Loved the steeper descent. No-one slipped so all good.
We grabbed some of the photos taken enroute as not too pricey and a great memory.
Up at the O2 Climbs take place in all conditions unless the weather is extreme. Gales, lightning, heavy snow, ice and anything that makes it unsafe will mean we need to close.
