Brilliant, one of the best value trips we've had

We booked this before we arrived, never having used this service before. From start to finish this was a brilliant service. All staff were friendly and polite and the tour guide who gave us the option of listening to their taped tour or listening to his version was brilliant. Much more interesting than the taped version which was what we had on the way back. Good boats with facilities and a very pleasant way to spend a day. We went all the way to Greenwich from Westminster bridge and wandered round there, got off at Tower bridge and made our way back from there.

Four of us travelled on the City Cruise and would recommend to anyone. Very pleasurable, the boat took the strain and we had a drink to boot! Have already recommended to others and would take the trip again. It was relaxing, informative, and the boat kept a nice steady pace on the water. It was great to watch the London sights move by as if in the cinema but it was all real! Excellent.

It was the first time my sister and I had used the City Cruise and it was fantastic .... the staff where very helpful and friendly, the services were excellent and toilet facilities were outstanding especially as there was so many people to deal with. We had a fabulous time enjoying all the sights from our great viewing seats and everyone onboard were completely enjoying themselves. We took some photo shots, jumped on with ease at our designated stops etc and didn't have long to wait in queues.. It was brilliant to be able to enjoy all the amazing sights of London right on the river and also the disembarkment areas made it easy to access all the major London Tourist Attractions - WE LOVED IT AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND DEF WOULD CHOOSE AGAIN.. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE ON THE RIVER THAMES AND A MOST ENJOYABLE JOURNEY. Many thanks Jacqueline O'Shea
An enjoyable cruise

Despite a long queue, we really enjoyed the cruise and wished we had time to go all the way to Greenwich. The staff were helpful and friendly and we both found the commentary interesting and amusing. Because we were pushed for time, we didn't spend long on there but had we been able to do so, it would have been very good value for money. I would definitely recommend this way of seeing the sights.

Convenienet means of exploring the sights along the river with 4 locations for getting on and off the boat. Boats were clean and staff were friendly. Light-hearted but informative commentary made the trip more enjoyable and provided some interesting facts on the history along the Thames.
Would recommend this cruise because of the flexibility it gives to spend as much time seeing the sights you are most interested in and frequent service so no long waits when you are ready to move on.

The river cruise was a relaxing alternative to the hustle and bustle of the underground. Fresh air, comical and informative guides as we travelled from one pier to another with a clear and different perspective of the city from the river. We were able to plan what, where and when we wanted to sightsee on land. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Great way to see the city from the river. Our guide was very informative and entertaining without being corny. Probably didn't take full advantage of the 24 hours worth of travel but with the discounted price was great value for money.
City Cruises Red Rover Sightseeing

Very good trip, large comfortable and warm boat, although the crew are not professional tour guides (they're licensed Watermen) the commentary was very natural and given by a Cockney with a great sense of humour, it had history and lots of snippets of information. If you are visiting the Shard and then doing the river tour it's worth knowing that City Cruises are on the north side of the river at Tower Millennium Pier a short walk from Tower Hill Tube (Thames Clippers are on the south side near HMS Belfast). There wasn't sufficient information in the time tables to assess total travel times eg. from Tower Pier to Greenwich the boat waits for 30 minutes at Greenwich Pier, to Westminster Pier allow about 1hr 10m including the stop at Tower pier. Once again Discount London are excellent, good value and pre booked tickets make life easy.
